I've built quite a few George Tuner Models and they are all very nice kits that go together well and drive good on the track when finished. The Lotus 40 is no exception. Fit and finish is excellent and easy for someone with experience at building models to put together. A very nice looking and running car when finished. The only thing I would say might need improvement is the yellow decals. They look great on the paper but when you slide them over the green paint, they are somewhat transparent and the yellow color doesn't pop as well as it should. Other than that, I highly recommend any of George's kits. I will be buying more of George's cars in the future.
Lovely car. Almost done. However the decals curled when applying the clear coat. Not a biggy as I used my spray gun to create them in paint. In future what is the best clearcoat to use?
Hi, thank you for the review! In regards to clear coats, we do not use them for this very reason. Unfortunately it seems they can be a bit aggressive on decals depending on which brand you use, so it is always best to patch test them just in case. That said if any replacement decals or other parts are needed always happy to get some in the post.
